Strategy in Practice

Selected work showing how I identify what a brand can credibly own—and translate that position into partnerships, campaigns, retail, content, and real-world experiences.

My process draws from founder and stakeholder conversations, category and competitive review, customer behavior, channel realities, and the practical constraints of bringing an idea into market.

Featured Projects

organics by red bull | Launching a New Product Without Diluting the Core Brand

Challenge

San Diego was one of two U.S. markets selected to launch Organics by Red Bull, a premium line of organic sodas and mixers from a brand strongly associated with energy drinks.

My Read

The product needed its own use occasions and credibility while still benefiting from the parent brand’s reach. Hospitality could make the line understandable through menus, staff recommendations, sampling, and real-world trial.

Strategic Move

I prioritized premium restaurants, hotels, bars, and cafés where Organics could work as a standalone adult soda, cocktail mixer, or bottle-service offering. Staff programming, cocktail competitions, and occasion-led serves helped build familiarity and trial.

Proof

Launched across 80+ San Diego accounts in 90 days and activated at Del Mar Opening Day for 33,000+ attendees. Recognized within Red Bull as a national best-practice launch.

Core Strengths

Go-to-market strategy · Hospitality activation · Portfolio positioning

Institute for integrative nutrition| Designing One Experience for Audience and Content

Challenge

IIN needed to produce a two-day flagship event for 1700+ attendees while filming selected faculty for future curriculum and brand content.

My Read

The production need could shape the event, but it could not feel like the reason the event existed. The faculty needed to connect through a clear narrative that gave the audience a cohesive journey across both days.

Strategic Move

We built the experience around Reconnect and Rejoice, using the dimensions of health as the editorial framework.

Programming moved across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, with sound healing, movement, reflection, paired sharing, and integration breaks helping attendees process and embody what they were learning.

Proof

The event brought together 13 speakers, including Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, Daniel Amen, Gabby Bernstein, Maya Feller, and Melissa Wood-Tepperberg, while allowing IIN to capture high-value faculty content within the live production—reducing separate filming needs, production time, and costs.

Core Strengths

Editorial programming · Talent strategy · Integrated production

Pocono Maple Water | Turning Provenance Into Market Relevance

Challenge

Pocono Maple Water comes from a 450-acre certified-organic maple farm and is gathered only during the brief spring flow. Because the product was unfamiliar, customers first needed to understand what it was, what it tasted like, and why its origin mattered.

My Read

The strongest story was already in the product: the land, the annual harvest, and the natural variation of each season.

Strategic Move

I positioned the brand around provenance, seasonality, and ritual while leading education with taste and product clarity. Yoga and Pilates communities became an early audience for sampling and partnerships.

Proof

The strategy informed regional retail, movement-community sampling, product seeding, packaging recommendations, and a Magrino press trip. Coverage in BevNET, Nombase, BELLO, and Athleisure contributed to 136,174 secured impressions. One local inn purchased ten cases and reordered.

Core Strengths

Brand positioning · Market activation · Partnerships and PR

rise 311 | Turning Founder Credibility Into Brand Narrative

Challenge

Interest in founder Jason Walsh often centered on the celebrities he trained, while RISE311 lacked a broader story that could naturally enter those conversations.

My Read

Jason’s credibility could open the door, but his ethos around performance and recovery needed to become the bridge to the brand.

Strategic Move

I developed a founder-led narrative around the belief that performance cannot be separated from recovery, along with podcast talking points that helped conversations move organically from Jason’s experience and philosophy into RISE311.

Status

Developed through exploratory sessions with the founders; the work was not formally commissioned.

om juice bar | Reframing the New Year Reset

Challenge

OM needed a New Year campaign that could drive membership interest without relying on restrictive cleanse or detox messaging.

My Read

A small, repeatable habit would feel more achievable than asking customers to overhaul their routines.

Strategic Move

I developed #MyDailyOMBoost, positioning five smoothies per week as a simple, sustainable wellness routine. The campaign included social participation, product education, giveaways, email and in-store promotion.

Status

Campaign strategy and activation-ready content developed; launch paused as OM shifted priorities toward its Miami expansion.

I bring this approach to consumer, lifestyle, and experience-led brands—helping teams clarify positioning, shape go-to-market strategy, build partnerships, and translate ideas into campaigns, retail moments, and real-world experiences.
